Palyne

Name: Palyne Gaenir. | ‘Janku’ was my middle name for awhile circa 1995-2000.  |  “PJ” is my common name on the internet, from 1993 – present.  |  I was born Laura Hayes. I changed my name legally when I was 22 (around 1987), since I had always gone by a family nickname and not that birth name anyway, so the name had nothing to do with me. Palyne is Patricia+Leon, my parent’s names. Gaenir is an old Gaelic name.  |  My aliases on the internet are usually Red Cairo for offbeat stuff and RightNOW for nutrition stuff.

Location: Currently in the Ozarks in NE Oklahoma.  |  Raised southern coastal California USA (Ojai and Ventura).  |  I’ve lived in Hartford CT, Portland (Beaverton) OR, Seattle WA, Fort Worth (Boyd) TX.

Family: One daughter, born August 13, 1996.  |  Divorced. |  Way too many cats. All live outside now.

Profession: Currently: Project Management.  | Historically: Business Management, Programming, Graphic Design.

Obsessions: They cycle. Remote Viewing. The Nature of Personal Reality. Shamanic/Jungian meditation. Organic Gardening. Music (guitar and vocals). Reading (Science Fiction, Paranormal, Fantasy, non-fiction). My kid. My job. CFML coding. Low-carb eating. Writing (fiction). To be honest I mostly just work, deal with kid, eat and sleep and do chores on the weekends. There’s only so much time in life. I only get a little of other things in. The life of a single mom! When my kid grows up maybe I’ll have more time.

Hobbies: Not like I have time for many frankly. I’m trying to learn to sketch.

Age: Born September 14, 1965 in Ojai, California USA 8:29 PM.  |  I’m told this translates to: “Four planets in Virgo including Mercury and Sun; three planets in Scorpio including Mars and Venus; Aries rising; Taurus moon.” Whatever that means. I once got a natal reading and felt that it was accurate for who I had been but that I had ‘dealt with’ a lot of the ‘issues’ in it.  |  Age doesn’t mean too much to me except that men seem younger all the time. :-)

Me: The pic here is a webcam snapshot from November 2007. I’m so much more homely than that makes it seem. Hence I may never change it.

This blog is a ‘cumulative collection point’ for a variety of blogs, forum posts, clips from occasional email, or just personal rambling. It’s a major pain to import stuff still so it only happens a couple times a year. I put this here so that I will have a single point of communication and representation.
